Having fun on St Patrick's Day!!

The kids in years 1 and 2 in Primary celebrated St Patrick's Day yesterday. They played games, danced, listened to traditional Irish music and hunted for treasure. In year 2, they also made a Leprechaun hat. In the end, they ate the yummy chocolate coins they had found, of course!!

The toddlers enjoyed St Patrick's Day!!

The toddlers celebrated St Patrick's Day yesterday.  They sang, danced, did a craft with small pieces of green paper, prepared brochettes with green fruits (grapes and apples) and they even found a treasure!!

Have a look at these videos to learn the songs:

Visiting the theatre

Last January 19th, students from 3rd and 4rd ESO went to see a play in Salesianos school.
The play was adapted from the Shakespeare’s comedy  “Much a do about nothing”. It was very entertaining.
In the theatre, the actors sang, danced and acted and they did it very well.
The plot is about a nobleman (Benedik) and a noblewoman (Beatrice) which love each other  without knowing and without accepting it because they want to be single and independent. The servant, Bocaccio, tries to cheat on Benedik, his lord, because he is fed up with his demanding and stupid things. The lovers find out that Bocaccio is doing bad things to them and finally the get married.
The play was very funny and we enjoyed a lot. We also liked when some volunteers from the audience went up and acted with the protagonists.
Actually we recommend going to see this play if you want to have a funny moment and learning English in a different way.

Welcome back!

Hello there!
We' re back on the blog after the holidays. And guess what! We have a new language assistant at school!

G’day! My name is Zoe Field and I will be working as an English language assistant at Colegio Bajo Aragón this school year. I am from Melbourne, Australia – a very very very long way away from Spain! Melbourne is a great city, famous for its culture, nightlife and beautiful beaches close by. Although I will miss Australia a little bit - I am so excited to be living in Zaragoza. I finished my university degree last year in International Studies where I studied a range of subjects such as politics, history and of course Spanish! My Spanish isn’t great (yet!) but I’m hoping to improve a lot this year. So if you see me around school – please come and say hello! When I wasn’t at university, I was working as a swimming teacher and student mentor/tutor to local and international students in Melbourne. My hobbies include writing, reading, spending time outdoors at the beach and hanging out with friends. So far my hobbies in Spain include eating a lot of yummy tapas! I am really excited to be working at Colegio Bajo Aragón this school year and teaching everyone how to speak like an Aussie!

¡Hola!
